a not for profit U.S. corporation since 1974

The international Society of Marine Painters is a truly international body of marine artists, incorporated as a non-profit, tax exempt corporation in 1974.

Our purpose is to inspire Marine Artists from all over the world in a united mission in the pursuit and betterment of marine art in all of it's forms. The society also supports and assists the members of the society and others in their worthwhile endeavors to further the field of marine art and history.
